6/23/2k3 Mon 2:20 AM POP!
Been so busy lately that ive not really had a chance to catch up with PvP, PA, Megatokyo, Homstar etc in so long. This little clip (from a much larger strip) was kinda funny. The rest of the joke is lost if you've not seen this strip yet.

Just as a reminder...
The Hidden Agenda is being forced to move it's URL from its usual hard to remember and obscure URL to something else hard to remember and obscure. Fret not my fellow peoples, email either our web commander (temporary email for he) or myself and we'd be happy to give you the new URL when it moves away.

... and even the kitchen sink.
Whoa ive not updated in about ten days! Its slow, i guess. Not really. Actually ive been quite busy with things. Picked up a few comics here and there. Gonna see the Hulk soon.

    Anime:Rahxephon Vol.1

Now, here is an anime of very high budget and very interesting content that for some reason seems old to me. I cant tell if alot of what it steals is done wrong or if its done right but to death. Maybe a bit of both. Im still game for volume dos [bb: vol 3 should be out by now] but only cause at 5 eps a pop ($24.99) it really cant be passed. Im actually making this one sound a lot worse than it really is. I like it. Really. But it seems dusty. This rings so much like Evangelion it almost makes me want to tell on Studio Bones to Gainax. Story goes as thusly: Tokyo has been taken over by someone who has devastated the rest of the world. Or so it seems. The story spins in circles around a boy named Ayato who finds out he can harness the power of this huge ancient mecha being called MechaMechMech Bot 2000. Ok, its actually called Raxephon. He meets up with this chick [ed: crap, we dont want to offend any women out there reading this] eh-hem, boobs with legs [ed: excellent] named Haruka who is a mix between Faye Vallentine and Misato and nothing else and and and...and thats all that i can really say without either making things more difficult to understand or without spoiling anything. The character design, homo sapien, is very uninspired and thats something that i really need in anime today. A bit of a disappointment given this is directed by the legendary Yutaka Izubuchi. ..you know. IZUBUCHI? ... YUTAKA?! Jezzus. The guy who designed all the characters for Seiken Densetsu 2 and 1 aka Secret Of Mana (SNES) and Final Fantasy Adventure (SNES and remake, Sword of Mana, on GBA) here in the states. Given Akihiro Yamada's designs were the first perhaps some...liberties should had been in order. Something from the dialog to the movements just seem robotic in nature. Sort of like Al Gore attempting the moon walk while thinking he's doing a swell job doing it. To note: the insert is very well done. There's some interviews and character bios.

    Comic: Battle Chasers #1-9
Image, DC, Joe Madureira (Xmen), Munier Sharrieff (Battle of the Planets), Tom McWeeny (made fun of in high school. alot.), Liquid! (über colorists extraordinaries). Lots of anime-inspired gallivanting. Fun read but why oh WHY cant i find more that 9 issues?! Prompted and determined i jumped ebay when ebay wasnt looking and only found the preview ish (which i already own) and two older stories from Fantasy. Anyone?

Classic Game: Streets of Rage 2

Best beats in a game ever. Gameplay still granite solid and fun to this day. Better than 1 and even 3 in my opinion. The Bare Knuckle series always made it so you had multiple choices in each hand to hand situation and this one added 2 player one-on-one mode. Hit up eBay and buy this, one of the greatest beat-em-up action games in the history of the genre.

Production IG's KaiDohMaru comes out on Tuesday as does the GBA Player and Warioworld on GC! Mark the 24th.

    New Fable shots fer XBox.

HAHA. Er, Shining Soul 2 for GBA.

Street Fighter is 15 years old. Much unlike the other 15 year old people i play Capcom games with - SF seems to never grow old. It also doesnt call me "Fucking Fuck Bitch Fucker-face" when im online another drawback when playing 15 year old gamers. CAP:2, 15YearOlds:0.

6/12/2k3 Thurs 4:20 AM Where there's something strange in your neighborhood...

Read or Die.

A little light, a little cutsy but serious enough for me to really get sucked into it. Not to say one cant get sucked into something like Love Hina or Ranma 1/2 or anything its just its hard for me to really become involved in something that isnt dedicated to something in a genre/subgenre. Amazing animation quality with some fairly interesting character choices makes me wish this series or OAVs lasted a bit (or alot) longer. Guess the movie thats coming out will have to do. Directed by Kouji Masunari, the story takes place in a time that is neither present nor past but a mixture of both. The main character, Yomika Readman ("agent paper"), has the ability to warp and construct paper to her will. She uses these talents to thwart resurrected geniuses, cloned from DNA, turned-evil and their plan to destroy the human race. Lots of well thought action sequences and twists. Very highly recommended. I even heard Manga did a swell job with the American voice track. I wouldnt know ^_-||

How nice of magicbox to put all the new images of SNK v Capcom into one little post. There are some new test footage of the game in action over at snk-capcom.com. Wow, all of the Capcom characters look SUPER animated while most all the other SNK chars kinda have the same sprites.
Old School Game of the Day: Gunstar Heroes.

A long time ago on Gunstar 9 and a long time ago on the Sega Megadrive (Genesis) there were these brothers... This has to be my second favorite Treasure game. Given Treasure's track record there's nothing among the lot that is less than stellar - im sure you've heard me rant on and on about this amazing developing group spawned from Konami before. If you havent played this one you surely are missing out on what still is a very solid action/shooting platformer. The ability to grapple and shoot while implementing weapons mixing (you could "mix" weapons together to new effects) through a handful of levels and bosses very imaginative and a hellava bunch of fun to play. Ive seen this one still shrinked on ebay for at least 60-70 bucks. The cart by itself probably for less than 20 or so. Very value-priced compared to some of Treasure's other...uh, treasures.

6/8/2k3 Sun 1:30 AM ATTBI to Comcast?

To the three people whom actually checkout this site every once in awhile, ATTBroadband is changing to Comcast which means the site's URL is prolly gonna change. To what? I dont quite know yet. Im sure if any place ill post it on Gamefaqs in my signature/profile of MGSNinja and of course here. Its kinda funny actually, in order to entice other putzes to switch over also there's this sort of bribe, i mean, sweepstakes where one can win shiny things that light-up and assuredly beep and stuff. Sweet, i guess since im a sheep to my broadband connection.

In case ya missed it, here are the specs and pics on the PSX Playstation Set-top-thingy.

Now i dont know how official this shit here is but it looks like it was made in 2 minutes by a 12 year old for a C, maybe B grade. It was the easiest place to find info on the Playstation Portable that ive been slobbering over since its announcement at E3. Prez and head cheese over at Sony, Ken Kutaragi, stated that the PSP is going to be "the Walkman of the 21st century". Which is also funny cause they still make the Walkman and it is indeed the 21st century right now. Sony will probably change the name of their current Walkman to "That other piece of shit we sell which will undoubtably breakdown on you in a year of the 21st century". Catchy, i think.

Here are some shots of Metal Slug 5 that Magicbox stole from Gamespot whom stole them from Famitsu Japan whom stole them from Playmore that i am nice enough to steal for you all ^_^||
Pacman? On the Gamecube? 4 Player? Old School style? What the fuck?! Cant wait :)
The Army felt that too much was keeping people from playing the game that 100 million of our tax dollars was making, America's Army. It seems the one thing that was keeping us "intelligent people" (or "city folk" as we are known as in some parts of the south) was the fact that "Army" was in the name. To rectify this the army took about 10 million dollars of our tax dollars to research and ponder what to do about it. 6 months later they have done it. Its quite brilliant really. What they did was change the name. You see, calling it something ridiculous like...oh, i dunno, Super Action Survivor or Full Spectrum Warrior or something in itself left out the word that keep most of us from playing it, "Army". If you notice, "Full Spectrum Warrior" doenst have "Army" in it. Brilliant! Oh, ItsalsomadebyanotherdevelopmenthouseanditsalsoonlyonXbox ehem. Between making video games and starting wars - im loving my government more and more by the tax cent! These colors dont run!
